Large Language Models are not the future that we should be striving towards. They were trained on stolen data that none of us were paid for, they are being used as a threat to steal our jobs and futures, and they devalue the very concept of art and humanity itself. 

When you call into a customer support line for help, are you happy to find out that it is an Ai bot speaking back to you? Do you want to listen to music that has nothing to say, that was created wholly without feeling or meaning? Are you happy that the people who created the books, movies, and video games that truly resonated with you, have had their work stolen by billionaire ghouls so they could feed you an endless stream of thoughtless slop? Are you happy that every conversation you have ever had on social media was scraped by Silicon Valley so they could use your words and feelings to sell Ai "friends" to lonely people?

You deserve better, we all deserve better. We don’t need to get into the reality that LLMs are consuming five times the amount of energy that a traditional internet search would. We don’t need to talk about the rivers of clean drinking water being destroyed so that some CEO can replace their workforce with bots that do not work. You are a human, you matter, you matter more than any LLM ever will. You deserve to have human friends, you deserve to watch television shows made by people and for people. You deserve a liveable planet and a life and job with dignity.

The road towards what we all deserve is hard and uncertain, but if we don’t even try we are sure to fail. We believe you deserve better than Ai, if you agree, let the people around you know. Silicon Valley wants their slop to seem inevitable, but it isn’t. They’re shit products made by pathetic people who don’t value their own humanity. Let them know that you do value your own humanity, encourage others to do the same.
