Ithaca DSA Priority Campaign
Ithaca DSA’s priority campaigns are decided by our members based on local needs and the impact we hope to have in our community.
We are not currently focused on a chapter-wide priority, instead allowing committees and working groups to discuss and set their own short and long term goals, collaborating and building our capacity together as needed.
Archived below is information about a recent campaign, in which we advocated for a free and expanded local bus service.
Free + Expanded TCAT For All!
What if we had free, frequent, and far-reaching bus service …
Private vehicles account for 30-40% of local carbon emissions; let’s get people out of their cars to save the planet!
Our jobs and theaters, our parks and public spaces, should be accessible to all.
Kids, seniors, the disabled, students, the poor—everyone should be able to get around!
Expensive housing + high gas prices? More and more, we need free and frequent buses!
Free, frequent buses make commuting by bus a real option for more people.
Let’s make Ithaca safer for pedestrians, cyclists, and drivers!
